2014 Honda Jade Retrofit Popular LED Headlight Bulbs

At the weekend, I take two days to retrofit a low beam led headlight kit on Honda Jade. Although finally I don’t choose led headlight but determine to keep my halogen bulbs, I still learn valuable experience by this working. Today I’d like to share with you my retrofit experience and my analyze.

Select LED Headlight: this is a COB led headlight and hot-selling in China market. 3800Lm according to seller’s introduction.
Replace right headlight bulb: Why do I replace one headlight bulb only? Because I want to compare its light beam to my right original halogen bulb.

The headlight bulbs with blue wedge in picture is for high beam. The low beam headlight bulbs is on top right corner with black rubber cover.

The low beam headlight bulbs on Jade is H11 base.

Finish installation. Left bulb is led while right bulbs is original halogen. LED is 7500K with a little blue white.


We can see that the right led light is obviously brighter than halogen bulbs within 5 meters but lighting is scatted, while right halogen bulbs is spotlight with longer distance of radiation.

At this time, I test at 11:00 pm, on a section of road without street light. Please notice that how far does the halogen light can reach.

Now we replace the right halogen bulbs to led headlight bulb. Test again.


On the first time test above, we can see clearly the railing on front of us.
After we replace two bulbs to be LED , we can’t see clearly the railing, but light within 10 meters is brighter than before.


On the first time test, we can see clearly the third telegraph pole on right side.
But on this test, we can only see the second telegraph pole on right side and just the first telegraph pole on left side. 

Test result:
Advantage
(1)     It is super bright within 10 meters.
(2)     Led headlight start very fast.

Disadvantage
(1)     LED light is scatted, short distance of radiation, terrible for running on highway.
(2)     Light decay is obvious, at the beginning, this headlight has 3800lumen, but in one hour, it has only nearly 2500 lumen.

All in all, if you usually drive in highway at night, don’t use this led headlight as it is not safe. But if you only drive in city, this led headlight is good for your driving.

Do you like Golf 7 factory original DRL? I think many Golf 7 owner say no. That yellow small eyes, no wonder are named it candle light. Fortunately, it is easy to replace this pair of DRL bulbs. Open the lip, look at the place behind your headlamp, there is a plastic cover. Open that cover, find where the DRL are according to its position in the headlamp, pull it out and we can replace it. Golf 7 DRL bulbs are PW24W base. Not too many bulbs with this base on the market. I recommend you to buy Cree 50W HighPower LED Bulbs . Cree chips, high lumen, high working current and not easy to break. Especially the working current, Cree bulb could reach 10W and reach the requirement of inspect system. How to Adjust Headlights for the Perfect Aim!

Have you ever been blinded by someone else’s headlights, or noticed that your own headlights are not illuminating the road directly in front of you? Start by removing any excess weight from the trunk of the car. Also, ensure that the tire pressure in all tires is at the manufacturer's recommended levels. If possible, have somebody sit in the driver's seat, and that the gas tank is half-full. As well as this, check that your headlight aim adjustment wheel (if fitted) is at the zero position. 2, Position your car.

Ford Mustang Modified New Ferrari 458 Circle LED Taillight

Recently I notice that there is new coming Ferrari 458 LED taillight OEM fitted Ford Mustang on  Chinese Taobao. I just can’t help trying immediately. I guess this one is from America imported, because no other store selling it. But I search it on cjponyparts and can’t find the same one. Whatever, try it first.  It not only looks like Ferrari 458 Tallight but also a little like Ford GT40 taillight, this circle LED tail light has red and yellow available with new led technology. Plug is same to mustang and directly play on 2015-2017 Mustang. It is interesting to install it. A new style comes to my Mustang. The best thing is I can get the original taillight back whenever I want. Very simple installation.
